DeMichele Scholarship Donations

 

As many of you know Dick DeMichele passed away in the fall of 2000.  His contributions and involvement with our organization and IMAC were unparalleled.  We want to honor Dick’s memory by continuing the work that was so important to him.

One of Dick’s most important goals was the sharing of information and making IMAC available to everyone.  He viewed IMAC as great place to share and discuss ideas in the various areas of experimental mechanics.  He especially went out of his way to help students attend and present papers at IMAC.

 

His generous spirit of sharing will be continued in the scholarship fund that is being established in his name.  This fund will help students and provide financial support for students attending IMAC as first time presenters.

 

Applicants for the DJD Award Fund Scholarships will be nominated by an SEM member, an approved group of applications will be reviewed by Dick’s family and the IMAC Program Planning Committee and forwarded to the SEM Honor’s Committee.  The Honor’s Committee will set up specific criteria for applicants and this information will be posted on the SEM website.

 

Several people have already made generous contributions.  We are giving you the opportunity to make donation to the Dominick J. DeMichele Scholarship Fund.  Contributions can be made by individuals or organizations.  The form below is provided for your convenience.  SEM will send you receipt for your tax deductible donation.
